Manufacturer
Pella Corporation is an Iowa-based family-owned window manufacturer with the widest product range in residential windows — from entry vinyl through architect-grade wood. Pella's between-the-glass blinds option is unique in the industry and especially popular in the Twin Cities for sun-facing and lake-view exposures.
Product lines
From entry vinyl to architect-grade wood, Pella covers every budget and aesthetic.

Entry
Pella's vinyl budget line. Triple-pane Low-E glass with argon fill standard. $900–$1,500 per window installed; $18K–$30K for a typical 12–20 window full-house replacement.

Mid-tier
Pella's mid-tier wood line. Heavier frame than pure vinyl, between-the-glass Slimshade blinds available. $1,500–$2,500 per window installed; $25K–$45K full-house.

Premium
Aluminum-clad wood — Pella's architectural restoration line. $1,800–$3,200 per window installed; $30K–$55K+ full-house. Competes with Kolbe Forgent and VistaLuxe at a slightly lower price point.

Architect-grade
Pella's premium tier — full-clad wood, architect-grade finishes, between-the-glass blinds available. $2,500–$4,000 per window installed; $40K–$70K+ full-house. Edina, Wayzata, Lake Minnetonka build territory.
Pella-exclusive feature
Pella's Slimshade blinds sit inside the insulated glass unit — magnetically operated from inside your home. No dusting, no broken slats, no kids tangling the cords. Available on Lifestyle, Architect Series, and Reserve. The right call for sun-facing and lake-view exposures where standard blinds collapse over time.

Warranty stack
Pella covers the windows: lifetime limited on frame and sash, 20-year glass, 10-year aluminum cladding. Modex covers the install: lifetime workmanship — current owner, not transferable. That stacks the manufacturer's product coverage on top of our labor coverage, with no overlap and no gap.
Energy performance
Triple-pane Low-E with argon fill is standard across all four Pella lines. NaturalSun coating captures winter solar heat — meaningful in a Minnesota climate that runs -20°F to 95°F. Energy Star Most Efficient picks qualify for the federal IRA 25C tax credit (30% up to $600 per year). We can spec to qualifying products on request.

Per-window installed pricing plus typical 12–20 window full-house ranges. Lump-sum per scope on every Modex quote.
