What does Modex stand for?

Modex is short for Modern Exterior Systems — our internal nickname and customer-facing shorthand. Our full legal name is Modern Exterior Systems. We are not Modern Exteriors (stucco company, separate business) or Minnesota Exteriors (competitor).

Is Modex women-owned?

Yes. Lindsey Dvorak is the majority owner. Modern Exterior Systems is a certified women-owned, family-operated business. We're independent — not part of a national franchise or PE rollup.

What manufacturers does Modex install?

Five manufacturer certifications: CertainTeed ShingleMaster (asphalt), Malarkey Emerald Pro (asphalt), Atlas Pro+ Silver Select (asphalt), LP SmartSide Certified (engineered wood siding), and James Hardie Preferred (fiber cement siding). We also install ProVia, Kolbe, and Pella windows, plus DaVinci and CeDUR synthetic roofing — those we install but are not Authorized dealers; product warranty registers direct from the manufacturer.
